FIFA Considering Staging Women's World Cup Every 2 Years

FIFA is considering a proposal to stage the Women's World Cup every 2 years, double its current frequency of every 4 years.

"We need to see what kind of big events we can create, So we are studying this, of course," said FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

The 2023 Women's World Cup will also feature 32 teams, up from 24 sides.

The host of the 2023 Women's World Cup will be announced in June.

Russia Banned From 2022 World Cup By WADA

Russia have been banned from the 2022 World Cup by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

WADA banned Russia for four years from all major sporting competitions including the Tokyo Olympics.

Russia can still compete in the upcoming 2020 European Championship.
